I don’t use a lot of epoxy regularly, but I have tried several types over the years. While this product is designed for crafting, I had a situation with some rotted wood I tried this on. I cleaned out the rotted parts and treated the area with green wood preservative. After it dried for a couple of days, I then mixed and poured this resin into the cavity in the wood.
With any type of epoxy, it is vital to thoroughly mix it. If not, you’ll end up with a sticky mess that will not completely cure. This cured fine and seems like it adhered well to the wood. Hopefully, this has solved my issue.
Had a few USB drive where the casing was damaged or the casing itself was very flimsy in the first place and couldn't take much handling and wanted to try this for sealing them.
Epoxy is very easy to handle and pours smoothly.
As I only needed a tiny amount for my use case I just used the included popsicle sticks to scoop out a tiny amount and mixed them in a yogurt cup.
Was relatively easy to coat the USB drives carefully with a toothpick a drop at a time.
I don't have a curing station so I had to just let them sit overnight to cure. Though a whole 24 hours would be best.
Final product is crystal clear and shiny, and very strong and durable. Also used this to coat a few other bare electrical components I have laying around to protect them from shorts.
All epoxy is roughly the same, so buy what's cheapest. This stuff is cheap and it's a good starter kit. Deep pour is the easiest to use, though this is a fairly small volume for deep pour so curing might take longer than usual. Good buy.
